Bill Stowers

SE US Sales Manager / Asst. Cultural Solutions Manager

My love of golf came from my Grandfather, who was the first tee time at the University of Maryland Golf Course every Saturday for the better part of his life. My first job in turf came when I blindly walked into the maintenance office at Congressional Country Club on a late afternoon in August of 1995 looking for a job and met Paul R. Latshaw. Luckily, he hired me, and I ended up working for him for over four years, learning invaluable lessons while studying Golf Course Management at the University of Maryland. Those experiences lead to me working as a Superintendent in western Pennsylvania for 20 years. I always enjoyed the challenge and process of making the golf course the best it could be.

On Saturdays, I am probably with my 12 year old son at a ballfield, or helping my wife get our 16 year old daughter to ballet.  We also have a 21 year old daughter, plenty to keep us busy. Something people may not know about me is that I have a twin brother. I enjoy working on old cars, cooking and grilling, learning new things, and helping others.
