The Imants RotoKnife is a versatile and effective linear disc-aerator designed to relieve surface compaction, improve aeration, reduce thatch buildup and remove surface water. The RotoKnife is fast across surfaces and serves as a versatile root zone management tool. Rotor shafts can be set in five different positions, offering flexibility in working depth and linear spacing. Disc shafts allow for variable-depth slitting, ranging from 1″ to a maximum depth of 6″ at 12″ spacing, or as shallow as 3/8″ to 1 1/2″ deep at 4″ spacing. Spiker shafts are used prior to soil sprays to achieve deeper infiltration into the soil profile. When used after topdressing fairways and tees, spiker shafts help work sand into the canopy. One spiker shaft allows for variable-depth spiking from 3/8″ to 1 1/2″ deep at 4″ spacing. Two spiker shafts can be used in tandem at a depth of 1 1/2″ at 2″ spacing. The RotoKnife can also be used as a roller to remove surface irregularities.
